MariahCareyboobs: Happy birthday Emily Deschanel !

Today's shoutout goes to Emily Deschanel who celebrates her 34th birthday today.

Emily is best known for the role of Temperance " Bones " Brennan , a forensic who works at the Smithsonian and who helps FBI Special Agent Seely Booth solve his murder cases. The series is very loosely based on the works of real-life forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs, who is herself a producer on the show.

Now my mother watches all the crime series. No matter which CSI it is or CROSSING JORDAN, WITHOUT A TRACE, IMPERFECT CRIMES, THE CLOSER, AUTOPSY, PROFILER whatever. You name the crime show - she's watching it. Now I try not to watch ALL the shows with her because that's a fulltime job and to say the truth it becomes a bit depressing and you're just too scared to leave the house after dark. But I'm watching BONES and that's because of David Boreanaz who plays Booth. Not that he won me over with his manly charms. It was just that one day I'm walking past the living room and I'm : " Hey, I know this guy. Isn't that Angel ? I didn't know Angel was on. "

And then my mother told me that this was not ANGEL this was BONES so I started to watch the show but I always had to tape it because at the same time PRISON BREAK was on. That's how it always is in Germany. There are days when there's nothing decent on tv and the highlight of the day is a Bud Spence and Terence Hill movie. Not that there is something wrong with Bud Spencer and Terence Hill movies. I grew up with them, there are hilarious, highly entertaining and just fun to watch over and over again ( Undwasismitdekohlen ? ) but on some days there is just nothing good on tv.

Like in that song " sixtyseven channels but nothing on ". Now on other days there are so many good shows playing at the same time that you need two VCRs to tape two different programs because you will be watching a third program. You just have to time it right so you can start recording with both VCRs at the same time. Or start the one you are going to erase later first. So anyway. I got started watching BONES mainly because of the interesting characters which seems to be important to most tv shows nowadays. Because like in comics the most important thing in a series are the characters. If the characters don't intrigue you and don't touch you on a personal level you don't care about them and you don't care about what happens to them.

One of my favorite episodes ( and probably of all comic readers ) is the Halloween episode in which Bones dresses up as Wonder Woman and Booth as one of the " squints " which is Booth's nickname for the members of her forensic team ( mirones in spanish and Blinzler in german ). Now I just want to mention that from what I have seen in the episode I would say that the produces took the Wonder Woman of the tv series as their reference.

So right now it's twentyfive minutes past CET time but I guess in America there are still a few hours left to party. I hope Emily took the day of and had some kind of birthday bash or is partying hard right now - maybe even with the other cast members. Happy birthday !

So this was all I had on the old blog. Last year I didn´t make a post but this year I decide to add some clips. I think I have most of the important ones like the one with the big cleavage in the first episode, the Halloween episode with Emily as Wonder Woman, the one with the circus - in which Emily also has a big cleavage - called " Double trouble in the panhandle " and...most surprising the clip from the Mummy episode in which Emily has an extreme cleavage.
