While looking for stuff for my other comicrelated blog I came across a lot of material about Erica Durance ( or just Endurance for her friends ) who plays Lois Lane on the tv show SMALLVILLE.

I already did some posts about the other Lois Lane on tv - Teri Hatcher. Especially the famous " I´m not a stripper " scene from DESPERATE HOUSEWIFES where she crashes a party and gets mistaken for a stripper because of her pregnant XXL airbags.

And now I'm doing a post about Erica. It seems that the tv shows do a far better job of explaining why Clark even falls for Lois than most comics do. Which may have something to do with the fact that all tv Lois' are extremely hot. So far I haven't written much about SMALLVILLE on this blog or on my other blog because in Germany we're always one or two seasons behind. Don't know if the comments on old episodes would be interesting or not. To give you an example of how far behind we are last week the first episode with the new Supergirl aired ( I'm talking about Laura Vandervoort here not the other one ). At least they picked a hot actress who looks more like a Supergirl and not the anorexic comic version.

Of course she's not the only hot babe on the show. Long before she or Erica Durance ever made an appearance there was hardbody extraordinaire Allison Mack portraying the campus own newspaper THE TORCH's starreporter Chloe Sullivan. I never understood how Clark could even notice Lana with a dish like Chloe around. But that's the part that was taken from the comics. I also never understood that Superman was more interested in Lois than in Wonder Woman. Poor Chloe.

and I have to give each and everyone a post of their own ( maybe with the exception of Kristin Kreuck who looks a bit plain to me ) but now it's Erica's turn. From the moment she appeared on the screen as Chloe's troublesome cousin Lois it was rather obvious that she was different than her comic book template. Not only was she turned into a blonde who for nothing in the world would have become a reporter but she very soon started to make things more exciting sporting hot outfits like her now famous red bikini.

She knows how to strut her stuff. Now in the same episode the new version of Adam Curry a.k.a. Aquaman debuted who also was way cooler than his comic book equivalent. Which is not very difficult because most frankly Aquaman almost never gets any love from DC. Like I said in the episode Aquaman made his debut but the thing that everybody remembers is Erica´s red bikini clip

But Erica was just beginning. While the male viewers were still reeling she topped that with a steaming ( but too short ) striptease while she was undercover in a stripclub.

It needs a bit of work but the basics are there. And of course she already has the body for it. It was a bit weird because in this day and age most teenage girls deliver better performances than professional strippers thanks to the wonder of the everpresent webcams ( or maybe that's what the internet wants us to believe ) but for arguments sake I'm not complaining. I mean for scenes like this I'm ready to put a bit of pressure on my suspension of disbelief.

The next clip is from the episode where Lana, Lois and Chloe were posessed by witches and tried to seduce Clark. By ripping his clothes off and piling on him. That lucky so and so.

I have the sneaking suspicion that Tom Welling breaks into the film crew's trailer and writes such scenes into the script himself. Anyway, here Erica Durance is trying hard not to be eclipsed by Allison Mack's cleavage ( yeah, good luck with that girl ).
