TV shows that focus on teenage angst can be a guilty pleasure ( which for me was SWEET VALLEY HIGH ), with the pleasure - thanks to strumpetlite starlets such as athletically toned, tanned imp Brittany Daniel - far outweighing the guilt. Adolescent conflict, at least during network prime time, generally stems from erotic awakening ahere is no more effective erotic wake - up call than Brittany's nymph nuggets squeezed tightly into a bra or bikini top.
To explain my obsession with SWEET VALLEY HIGH I have to back up a bit to the days of my youth and especially to spending the annual vacations in Spain. Spain was ( and still is ) the thing I was always looking to the whole year while trapped here in Germany. Because everything was better in Spain : the people, the weather, the culture, the movies ( uncut ), the comics ( more variety and cheaper ), the food and of course the tv.
Many of the tv series are shown in Spain years before they finally come to Germany ( when Dragonball finally aired in Germany the debut in Spain was already 10 years old ) or are at least 2 seasons further ahead. So whenever I was in Spain I came back to Germany with tons of DVDs ( or videocassetes back in the day ), comics and music because they had to last a full year.
Of course I always took at least 5 empty videocassettes to tape all the cool stuff on spanish tv and thanks to that I have some unbelievable footage of live acts from such high calibre sexbonbs like Monica Naranjo ( almost spilling out of a bra that´s at least two sizes too small ), Thalia, Marlene Mourreau or Janet Jackson. Now the problem has often been that I didn´t have access to the tv at all times because of my parents and sometimes I had to watch and tape what was on tv when I had the chance to watch it.
During one year I was bored as usual and zapping through the channels as I stumbled upon the first episode of LAS GEMELAS OF SWEET VALLEY HIGH ( The twins of Sweet Valley High like the show was called in Spain ) and I would have zapped to the next channel if I hadn´t seen the following :
That´s right. A hot chick in a bikini. And she was not the only one since the main characters were twins. Now this could have been like in some movies were there was one actor / actress who was duplicated by computer to play both parts.
Like Lindsay Lohan in THE PARENT TRAP where I was devastated at first when I learned that she didn´t have a twin. It´s one of her movies I still can see and when she turned 18 ( back when she had really big boobs ) I was even mad that she didn´t have a twin. Man, my sexual fantasy at that time was doing a sandwich with the Lohan twins. Now of course things have turned out different and it may be better that she doesn´t have a twin. Can you imagine the havoc two of the kind could have unleashed on the world ?
Anyway, in the case of SWEET VALLEY HIGH the main characters were played by actual twins : Brittany and Cynthia Daniel. Who both looked pretty hot.
God, I just hope I´m writing this post about the right one. You see, while Brittany stayed in her career as an actress Cynthia has become a photographer so I apologize in advance if I´m Cynthia was the girl in the black bikini. Maybe I´m writing this post about the wrong girl.
In any case, even though it was a teen soap opera show it had sexy twins in it even if they didn´t wear bikinis all the time. And chances were that when one wasn´t wearing a bikini the other one was. Or at least some hot outfit. During that summer I watched all episodes I could but as usual when I came back to Germany it was all over. I think it was shown once but as usual at an impossible time.
And that was that. Now, I don´t know for what I was looking but while doing the Justice League movie posts I stumbled upon some download links with clips from SWEET VALLEY HIGH. And since it´s one of my goal to get all the hot chicks I´ve seen on tv or in movies on this blog I just had to use the opportunity.
Now one thing I have learned while doing the research for this post is that Brittany also starred in DAWSON`S CREEK of which I haven´t seen one episode till this day. I often avoid teenie soaps unlike there´s some hot chick on the show like Tiffany Amber Thyssen on BEVERLY HILLS 90210, Alyssa Milano on MELROSE PLACE, Heather Thomas on FALL GUY ,
